Poggio San Polo Included in the Slow Wine Guide 2027
We’re delighted to share that Poggio San Polo has been included in the Slow Wine Guide 2027, and it’s the first time our estate appears in its pages.
Slow Wine, created by Slow Food, looks at more than what’s in the glass. It considers the vineyard, the way a producer works, and how well the wine expresses its place. For us, that’s a meaningful kind of recognition, because it reflects how we’ve always tried to make wine: with respect for the land, patience in the cellar, and as little intervention as possible.
This past weekend, we were invited to present our wines at the official presentation of the guide in Milan. Pouring for visitors, fellow producers, and people who care deeply about wine and where it comes from was a real privilege, and a memorable way to celebrate this first inclusion.
Our wines are naturally fermented, and our estate is Equalitas certified for sustainability. These aren’t labels we added for the market. They describe the way we work every day, from the vineyard to the bottle, between our two homes in Gaiole in Chianti and Castelnuovo Berardenga.
Being included in the guide for the first time is a milestone for a small, growing winery, and it belongs to everyone who has walked our vineyards, visited our tastings, poured our wines at their table, or simply believed in what we’re doing. Thank you.
If you’d like to taste what Slow Wine noticed, we’d love to welcome you. You can book a tasting at either of our locations, or explore our wines in the shop.
